55°C ocean green wax play candle — Forest &
A 55°C wax play candle that arrives five degrees warmer than you expect — just enough to let your body know something is happening. The ocean green wax carries a forest scent that smells like pine resin and wet stone, the kind of air you breathe on a night walk through woods. It pools evenly from a single wick, giving you time to read each other's responses before the next pour. Designed for beginners ready for a step beyond first-touch warmth and couples building a language of heat between them. The green shimmer disappears into skin and leaves nothing behind but the memory of where it landed.

"This was the second temperature I developed, for people who tried 50°C and wanted just a little more presence. At 55°C you start to feel the wax arrive — it announces itself. I scented it with forest notes because the people I tested it with kept saying it made them think of being outdoors at night, warm skin against cool air."

Visit Help CenterThe difference is subtle but clear. At 50°C, wax arrives as soft background warmth — like bathwater on skin. At 55°C, you feel the moment the wax lands. There is a brief point of heat that spreads and fades over 2–3 seconds. It is not a sting — more like the skin briefly waking up. Most people who have tried 50°C describe 55°C as the first temperature where they truly feel the wax as a distinct event.
Yes. 55°C is within the beginner-friendly Feather tier (50–55°C). If you have never tried wax play, you can start here — or begin with the 50°C Violet for the absolute gentlest experience and progress to 55°C on your second session. Many first-time users choose the Duo Holy Intimacy set, which includes both temperatures.
No. The ocean green dye is cosmetic-grade and washes off skin completely with warm water and soap. On very light or white fabric, faint green traces may persist after a single wash — a second wash with stain remover clears them. Using a dark towel underneath during play prevents any fabric concerns entirely.
Burn time depends on the size you choose: S (120 g) burns for about 8 hours, M (160 g) for 13 hours, L (250 g) for 20 hours, and XL (350 g) for 28 hours. For wax play specifically, a typical session uses 15–25 g of wax, so even the S size lasts 3–5 sessions before it is used up.
Pine resin, damp bark, and a cooler mineral layer — like walking through a conifer forest after rain. There is no floral sweetness. The scent is subtle and fills the room quietly without competing with the experience. If you prefer something earthier, consider the 50°C Violet with its cannabis and cactus notes.
Start at 25–35 cm above the skin. At this distance, the wax cools slightly in the air and arrives as a gentle, spreading warmth. Move to 15–20 cm for a more defined sensation where you feel each drop individually. Never pour from less than 10 cm. The single wick keeps the wax pool shallow, giving you full control over the flow.
Customer Reviews
"Plain box, no branding on the outside — I share a building entrance so this matters. The candle is well made, the colour is deep ocean green, and the scent transported me somewhere else entirely."
"I was so anxious about trying wax play. My partner got this because of the low temperature and I'm glad they did. I could relax completely knowing it wouldn't hurt. The warmth was actually soothing. We're moving to 60 next month."
"Nice product, no complaints about quality. But I've been doing this for a while and 55°C doesn't really register for me anymore. If you already know you like sensation, go straight to 60 or 65. For beginners it's great."
"Exactly what the description says — you feel the wax arrive, it has a moment of warmth, then it fades. Not intense at all. I think this is perfect for someone on their second or third session. The scent is very natural."
"The wax is smooth, the wick burns evenly, the scent fills the room without overwhelming. Small details that add up. This isn't a cheap novelty candle. Worth the price."
"The green colour looks amazing in dim light. We pair this with the 50°C Violet and alternate between them — the five-degree difference is subtle but you notice it. Feels special every time."
"The forest fragrance is what sold me and it doesn't disappoint — pine and something cooler underneath. Temperature wise it's still gentle. We used the L size and it lasted ages. Wax removal was easy."
"Started with the Violet and loved it but wanted a touch more sensation. This delivers. You actually feel the wax land — it's brief but noticeable. The forest scent is incredible, like being outside at night. Already my favourite of the two."
